Pointing Your Domain To Tiny Brander

Hey guys, in today's video, we're going to be doing a full walkthrough tutorial in pointing your domain name to the Tiny Brander servers. Now I'm going to be using my a domain registrar, which I use NameSilo, they're a very great company for buying domains, I really like them. So yours is going to be slightly different if you don't use NameSilo to buy your domain. But you should be able to muddle your way through, but this is how it works when you're using NameSilo, they're all fairly similar in the way that you work with them.

So let's get started. And let's start right from the beginning in buying a brand new domain. So let's, let's go look for a domain let's see like something like supplement store.

See that obviously is not going to be available, but let's see what is available.

Yeah, some pretty expensive domains there let's see some more extensions…

theres one I gave as well, this is, for the purposes of this demonstration this is a good, nice cheap domain for me to just show you.

And I'm going to buy this one as a supplementstore.buzz. So I'm gonna add that to my cart.

Okay, so let me go to my cart checkout.

Comes with automatic who is privacy, which is one of the reasons I like name silo that's always included.

That all looks good.

So I'm just going to check out I don't want to have any, any server hosting or anything like that don't need any of that. Okay, so yeah, it has my card details already in here. I agree to the terms and conditions and pay.

Okay, so this is this is a new thing that they've just added where it's like a walkthrough guide to configure it, I'm just going to skip this step and get to my home.

Because for most of you, you won't have that unless you use NameSilo.

And it's probably better to do it this way, anyway.

So I'm gonna go into the domain manager.

Okay, so here we are, this is the one we just bought supplementstore.buzz…

All we do is we click the the domain name there. And that will bring us into the actual domain console.

And we want to go down to where it says DNS records.

So that's what you're looking for something that says DNS records, and we want to hit update.

Okay, so here we are. With the DNS existing records, which are basically the standard ones that park your domain, here, you can see a parking parking, not quite sure what this one is third party not required. So what you want to do is you want to delete all of the A records that are already there, and the CNAME record, so just delete that.

All right, perfect.

So now we have rid of all the A records, they're all gone.

So what we need to do now is we need to go and create a new A record. So here it says edit, add or edit a resource record. So we're going to add an A record. So we just click that.

And under where it says host name

You just want to put the @ symbol.

Under the IP address

You need to put this IP address 104.255.220.94. We have that right there.

Under TTL you want to get rid of what's there. And you want to put in 14400 you can see that up on the screen right there.

Okay, so @ in the hostname under the IP address 104.255.220.94.  Under TTL 14400 and then just hit submit.

Okay, it says that that record has been added successfully if we go down and look at the records, you can see it right there.

Okay, now that could take up to 48 hours to actually populate across the web. But now essentially we've done the work at our domain registrar so we can actually leave that and go back to Tiny Brander.

Okay, so here we are at Tiny Brander dashboard.

So let's set up a new store using that new domain, and it was supplementstore.buzz.

Then under the sub domain, we have to make a Tiny Brander sub domain.

So I'm just going to call it supplementstore.buzz.

We're going to be selling and US dollars in, just searched for that.

Not untied, united, United States of America, and everything else is good.

So we're going to create this store.

Okay, let's make it a CBD store and continue.

Okay, so we have the choice here, is it going to be a primary domain, or is it going to be a custom domain, I'm going to use this one as a primary domain. So we can actually use sub folders off the supplementstore.buzz, so I am going to hit primary domain.

But first of all, I need to actually set this up in my settings. So I'm gonna go to my settings.

And here we are at the primary domain settings and we're going to add a primary domain.

And so this is supplementstore.buzz check the spelling, and we're going to hit Add Primary Domain.

Okay, that's been added successfully.

And you can see it in there now.

So now if I go back to the store management…

And I go into that new store we just created and into the settings and just click primary domain again.

Now we can select under the primary domain here, the supplementstore.buzz domain, right there.

And we're going to create a subfolder called CBD, and save.

So now you're going to see the actual link of where our store is going to be held. So it's under supplementsstore.buzz/s/cbd. So that's going to be a URL of our actual CBD supplement store.

So let me go quickly and just see if by chance it has populated already, sometimes they populate really fast. So let me just go through and select a lead product.

For this, I'm not going to change any of the settings.

I'm going to need to select up, I'm just going to use pay pal as a payment gateway.

Everything else I can just flick through.

Let's select a template, let's do a Shoppy template.

Obviously, we haven't added a product label on to the image, which is why it's like this, but let's just save and publish for the purposes of this.

Okay, so that site has now been saved.

So I don't know whether it was populated over yet from from where we sent it. But let's go take a look at suplement store.buz/s/CBD. So let's copy that URL. And let's go take a look.

So if I just open up a new tab right here…

And paste that URL in.

There you can see our store is live and secure.

So that's how you point a domain at the Tiny Brander system and how you would go about setting it up as a primary domain. It's exactly the same for a custom domain. Just a couple less steps. You can find videos on that as well. Just by searching in the resource section for domains you'll find all of the help you need there.

I hope you found this useful. And as always, if you have any questions or concerns you can reach us at support@tinybrander.com. Thanks bye.
