How To Add The Email Follow Up To MailChimp
Hey there. In this video, we're going to show you how to add all of the provided Followup Sequences inside Tiny Brander to your MailChimp AutoResponder, I have it all set up on the big screen, let's go and take a look.

Okay, so here we are in Tiny Brander and the first thing you want to do is check that your MailChimp AutoResponder is integrated properly with Tiny Brander. And the way you do this is go down to settings…
And then head across to the AutoResponders, you can see we are there right now, and if it, if MailChimp is correctly connected, it will have a green checkmark as you can see here, all of them do.
Okay, so once you've confirmed that go down to Resources.
And then across to Emails.
You want to search for the category of Emails that you want to send the AutoResponders in. So it's going to be Skin on this particular occasion, I'm going to hit Search. And that will bring up all of the emails that we have, we actually have seven there for the Skin niche.
Okay, we're kind of done with Tiny Brander for now, we just need to hold this window open because we're going to copy and paste these emails.
So we go over to MailChimp.
And here we are logged in. And in the other AutoResponders, I've actually shown you how you remove your buyers from your Prospects List in the AutoResponder using Automations. Unfortunately, MailChimp don't allow me to do that in the account that we have. And I'm not a big fan of their system. So I'm not upgrading the account in order to allow me to do that. I'm sure if you contact their help team, they will they will tell you how to do the automation to remove to remove somebody from one list when they subscribe to another list. And that's all you have to ask them.
But in the meantime, I'm just showing you how to do these Automations. Now they call them... actually the email follow ups they call them Journeys. So you want to go down to Automations. And where it says My journeys.
And you want to Create a Customer Journey.
And always do it From Scratch, don't take their pre done ones.
And we're going to call this Cart Abandon Skin 1,
And then we're just going to Start Building.
We need to Choose A Starting Point.
So it's going to be when a contact is added to a list, and it's going to be when they Sign up.
You want to Include Imported Contacts.
We don't need to worry about this. This is if you want to add certain filters to really filter down the person that you're sending this to we don't need to worry about this, we're just going to hit Save.
And we're going to Save Starting Point.
Now I only have one list in MailChimp because that's all it allows me right now. So I'm always going to be sending to this list so it didn't give me the option of which list this should be going to. I'm assuming that it will do that when you have more than one list. You can see here it says when that when the Contact signs up to Prospects. If I click that…
It doesn't give me any options, but I assume if you have more lists, it will give you more options there.
Okay, what we want to do now is Add a journey point right in the middle here
and it's going to be we want to have a time delay. So we hit a Time delay,
we want a time delay for one day, and hit Save.
Okay, then we want to Add Another Journey Point here.
And our journey point is to Send an email.
And all of this will be pre predefined by your account.
And you want to select one of their templates.
The one you want to go for is this one at the very bottom that just says Simple Text. And then that will load up the template.
And as it says it's time to design the mail. I’d get rid of this header here and just hit the trash can and get rid of that.
We can keep this content block here. Go back to Tiny Brander. And we're just going to grab all of the text out of the first email there.
We're going to copy that.
Go back to MailChimp. And when you highlight the text here, it gives you the editing table on the right hand side it's a little confusing.

And then we paste it into the editing table there and it shows it on the left hand side. So unusually however, it does handle the bullet points correctly.
So that is all fine and dandy. Now you do want to go up to the very Top here, where it says Dear. You want to add a personalization field in here.
And the way you do that, in MailChimp is under this Merge Tags.
So you want to be able to click here, hit these Merge Tags, and have it as the First Name. And then it puts in the code to enter the first name of the person in your contact list.
So it will be Dave, Sue, Frank, Joe, Mary, whatever it is, dear that name, and it will send it like that.
So you also want to check the email over to ensure that you have edited all the parts you need to for example, the first line says many thanks for taking the time to visit our website [USER TO COMPLETE DOMAIN NAME] that's up to you to fill in those sections. With your URL with your contact details. With your product information, we don't pull that out of the system for you. So you have to actually go in and edit this email, read them all make sure you're happy with them, make sure there's nothing you don't want to change. Make sure you insert the right link to wherever you want to send them next.
And when you're when you're happy with all of that, you can hit Save and Close.
All this stuff at the bottom is required stuff that is auto populated by the by MailChimp. So you can ignore that. And you can hit Save and return to journey.
Okay, I'm just gonna jump in there again to see where you enter your email subject line because I couldn't see that from the from the start.
Ah, there it is. It's in this first section here where it says Subject so you hit Edit up there, and it gives you a preview also, so we're gonna grab the subject line here.
Copy that, go back to MailChimp that why do they have that? That's craziness. Okay.
And then the Preview Text, you're going to go down to Tiny Brander
and pull out the Pre Heading text of that email. Copy that and drop it into Mailchimp right there…
And hit Save.
And then Close and then that email is ready.
Then we're going to add another Day Delay in here. So we're gonna go back and hit the plus sign and put a Time Delay of One Day and Save.
And then if we hit the + underneath that, we're going to Send Another Email.
And let's get the content out of this one because this one's going to be our second email is right here, Skin Email 2, did you forget to put yourself first.
And when I copy that one. Go back to MailChimp.
Edit this up. We drop that in the Subject. Go back to Tiny Brander and grab the Pre Heading Text the preview text and we'll Copy that. Go back to MailChimp. Paste that in there and hit Save.
Everything else looks good, we're going to hit Select a Template.

Once again, we just go down to Simple Text.
I'm going to remove the big text at the top, don't like that. And then I am going to grab the text at Tiny Brander right here.
Copy that.
Back to highlight this text. Oops. And this is the problem with their text, it has links in it. So we highlight that text and then edit it on the right hand side of the screen.
Paste.
Remember to put in your Merge Tags so it's gonna be the First Name. Everything else looks good, remember to edit up this to suit your store, suit your brand, suit your product. And then we can just hit Save and Close and Save and Return to Journey and then we can have a look at the Journey overview. Okay.
And you can see here that when somebody signs up to the Prospects you add a delay, a one day delay, and then after that delay, this can send an email, your email 1, then another day delay and it will send your email number 2 and you just carry on like that down the line until you get all of the emails in this system across to MailChimp. And that is pretty much it.
You will see here in MailChimp that in order to actually set this live it requires you to upgrade to the higher platform of the account than I have. But you do definitely need to set it to Active when you, when you're finished doing all that.
And once you've done that, that is how you have the Automated Cart Abandoned Sequence built inside of MailChimp. I hope that helps and if you have any questions you can reach out to support@tinybrander.com. Thanks, bye bye.
